We had a very enjoyable trip to Croatia and it more than exceeded our expectations. All in all a superb walking food style holiday. For us we thought the hotel to be very comfortable and glad we had downtime to enjoy the spa and beach. Split is charming, as are all the family owned wineries. It was our first time to this part of Southern Europe and I was very impressed with Croatia. Food and wine was first class and not overly expensive like it can be in France and Italy. Locals were very pleasant and the whole vibe was typically Mediterranean and laid back. We loved the walks, the hidden places you took us, all the wineries and restaurants. A real delight.

We had always wanted to visit Croatia and were most impressed with the way this itinerary was mapped out. The sightseeing opportunities were outstanding. From old towns to vineyards. Barisa our guide was wonderful, a lovely guy and so bright and enthusiastic. We didn’t find the walks too challenging, and the panoramic views were extremely rewarding for any effort put in. The wine heritage of Croatia is fascinating, we loved all the experiences, wine cellar tours and tastings. The gastronomy is of a very high standard on this trip. Mini vans and private buses were very comfortable, the transfers were very smooth from point to point. The Krka National Park was probably my favourite day. Visiting the waterfalls and the fine dining restaurant was top tier. Best to all

The wine and walking holiday was superb. Walks were great and food & accommodation was excellent. The transport, guides and leaders provided also excellent. To visit so many boutique wineries and hear their unique family stories was a delight. We sampled Dalmatian cuisine, tried many local wines, indulged in slow cooking and loved the fine dining meals with pairings. These are small group led tours. On our trip there were 18 other guests. A group size that still felt small whilst walking, but big enough to find lots of different personalities. Hotel Plaza Duce is a fabulous hotel, our stay was perfect. Barisa is an absolutely amazing guide. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and the various walks. He is very accommodating and kind to everyone in the group’s needs. Recommended by friends our expectations of this wine and walk tour were high, but the trip exceeded our expectations in every way. From thevery first contact I had with Walk And Wine Croatia on WhatsApp, I was impressed by how efficient and helpful the travel advisor Brett was. Marija was also amazing, she is so enthusiastic about the area she is from. She managed to perfectly balance being supportive of everyone’s abilities and being fun. The walking is moderate and only alittle hard at times, but was definitely worth it for some amazing views. The balance between food, wine and walks I’d say perfect pairings. We feel so lucky to have had joined this small group experience. A fantastic week.

We never imagined that we would learn so much about Dalmatian region. We tasted so many great wines and to demonstrate to our friends at home in the states what we had learned, we bought a lot of bottles to enjoy at home! Endless Views of this 7 night trip. Each day with its own set of panoramic view points and stops. The guides couldn’t have been anymore professional and fun. They united our small group very quickly. The blend of moderate walks from coastal to countryside was the right fit for us. Our favourite day was the time spent in the Hinterlands. This is the last day of the tour and what a finish to a perfect week away. Thank you to all the guides, drivers and sommeliers. Never to be forgotten.

This walking wine holiday is hard to encapsulate in a few sentences. The tour leaders are the most caring, nothing was too much trouble. The routes we walked just spectacular. Moderate trails, with challenging moments is the best I can describe it. All of the wineries visited were impressive. Some I’ll remember for the views, some for the hosts, all of them for their passion for ‘Plavac Mali’ the most important indigenous grape variety grown here. The food and wine tasting sessions have been thoughtfully curated. The fun we had as a small group I’ll cherish forever. I’ve come home, having felt the true essence of Dalmatian culture. From walking their lands, tasting their cuisine and appreciating centuries of traditions. Thank you so much.

We are so grateful our travel agent found your agency in Croatia. It was a totally unique experience and our most memorable part of a 3 week trip to Europe.
